Organizing for Change

i think of movements as intentional worlds … not as an unfolding accident of random occurrences, but rather as a massive weaving of intention. you can be tossed about, you can follow someone else’s pattern, or you can intentionally begin to weave and shape existence.
— adrienne maree brown (author, doula, activist)

Working together to create equitable and thriving communities where everyone has the opportunity to care for their family and reach their full potential as creative contributors, we lead synergistic projects through a practice built on:

  • Organizing & empowerment

  • Appreciative Inquiry

  • Results-Based Accountability

  • Systems change

  • Radical Transformational Leadership

  • Co-Active Coaching

Change-making isn’t just a question of what to do, but how to do it, and who is doing it. Our work challenges communities to shift from a service model to an organizing model where organizational leaders, elected officials, community members and other direct stakeholders are empowered to be creative agents, collaborators, and leaders.

Sharing power can be scary, so we build on the community’s hopes and assets rather than fears and deficits. This helps to disarm resistance, shifting conversations towards a shared purpose.

Whether it is through leadership development, language justice, or breaking through “us vs. them” thinking, our work expands citizenship through a commitment to equity and inclusion.

We believe this approach builds unity, capacity and resilience, tapping into the the power all around us to care for people and planet.
